Hi, I’m Andy.

I’m an artist, producer, and creative leader. A few years back I left the safety of a “day job,” and started contracting live performances and zany think-tank ideas as a way to make my living. Turns out people liked my performances, leadership and other creative stuff! Today, I use my leadership and ideas to help navigate a larger multigenerational church through a changing landscape. I’m most excited about creativity when it intersects and affects people.

Each week I post a thought, drawing, video or song that deals with the stuff I care about.

Beds, Stems, and Tracks

One of the things I’ve always dabbled with (but fully committed to this time around) is adding “stems” to my live shows. If you’re like me, you get a little bummed when the CD doesn’t match well to what you hear in concert. I decided this time around to fix that. After several long days in my “music cave” (quoting Kindle), I’ve got it all working! Now things like loops, pads, strings, vocals, etc can all play right alongside us in our live set. The guys and I are really excited about it.  I learned too that there is a limit to how long your eyeballs will allow you to stare at a screen.  I think I burned some rods and cones! Here’s to playing with beds, stems, and tracks.
