Hi, I’m Andy.

I’m an artist, producer, and creative leader. A few years back I left the safety of a “day job,” and started contracting live performances and zany think-tank ideas as a way to make my living. Turns out people liked my performances, leadership and other creative stuff! Today, I use my leadership and ideas to help navigate a larger multigenerational church through a changing landscape. I’m most excited about creativity when it intersects and affects people.

Each week I post a thought, drawing, video or song that deals with the stuff I care about.

Send me an email - I always write back.

The Church Basement Roadshow
Last Friday, (invited by Vanessa Lombera and Jon Reid) I played an opening set in downtown San Jose for a crazy and creative book tour. The three authors were Tony Jones, Doug Pagitt, and Mark Scandrette. They dressed up all crazy like they were from another time period and talked about miracle oil. On a more serious note, the three guys shared their passion towards an active christian faith that supports wonder, mystery, and personal exploration.  It reminded me of the book of James which emphasizes backing up faith with action. Some of their emergent theology might make some people nervous. The tone in which their criticisms are shared might make others defensive. Personally, I liked each of them and enjoyed the pre show rambles. I look forward to getting to know the guys better and learn more about a faith that isn’t just head knowledge.
